The Victorian SongMakers program has been made possible with the support of the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria and the Community Support Fund.
What
We do
SongMakers is thrilled to pilot a program that is tailored to flexible learning environments.
Significantly different to our core workshop program, the sessions will be task focussed, and outcome based, to best engage with the students in these learning environments.
These programs are free for Flexible Learning Centres in Victoria and delivered over a 6-week period throughout the school term.
In 2023 we delivered the first of these programs with St Josephs Flexible Learning Centre with almost all of the participants identified that their experience with SongMakers Program:
+ helped them to understand, label and communicate their thoughts and feelings
+ helped them learn how to write songs and gave them the confidence to continue
+ helped them learn how to channel their emotions in a positive way
Using this information and feedback, we are looking forward to working with new schools to deliver this program whilst also tailoring the program specifically to schools and students needs.
