Isaac and Marnie recently came to Sydney, to meet some key people at APRA AMCOS Head Office who will be on hand to give ongoing advice as their careers progress, and to tour JMC’s Sydney campus.

They are Isaac Liew, 18, formerly of Willeton Secondary College in Perth who is now an undergraduate at JMC Melbourne and Marnie Purssell, 18, formerly of Mountain Creek State High on the Sunshine Coast in QLD who is now studying at JMC Brisbane.

Isaac and Marnie wowed the selection panel with their maturity and work ethic and their emerging skills as songwriters and performers.

“I love Melbourne,” says Isaac. “I packed up and moved from Perth really quickly when the scholarship offer came in and I can’t believe I’m now doing something I love every day, surrounded by people who have the same passion for music as I do. I’m so grateful for this opportunity.”

“It’s already taught me a lot,” says Marnie. “I want to be a writer/performer and keep getting better at what I do and doing this course is a great way to really push myself.”

A reminder that, thanks to the generosity of JMC Academy, each of these scholarships is valued at $16,000 with Isaac and Marnie having the option to extend to a Bachelor Degree (a further $32,000 value) on successful completion of their Diploma.
